Project spotlight

It takes a village and lots of partners to create quality communities. Take a look at AWC CQC’s current projects.

Capturing voices from Washington's past

Tomorrow’s healthy community depends on today’s vision and leadership. We’re working with partners to explore how Washington can take a leading role in addressing climate change through strong economic development.

Sustainability goes big picture as university students work with cities on projects ranging from habitat restoration to community wayfinding, and everything in between.

Matching residents who want to invest in their communities with small local businesses. An innovative addition to traditional lending that brings a new vitality to main street.

Working with three pilot communities on complex housing issues, helping diverse groups create local solutions and build leadership capacity.

About us

We believe in growing leaders and healthy, resilient quality communities. As a 501c3 partner with the
nonprofit Association of Washington Cities, we understand the dynamics of change.

Where we’ve been

Since 2011, CQC has been awarding vocational and higher ed scholarships to Washington high school students who give back to their communities and demonstrate a strong civic spirit.

What we’re doing now

CQC is going back to its roots. We believe that partners in the public, private and nonprofit worlds can help empower communities. Although the vital scholarship program continues, we’re building a strong network to grow our work in other critical areas.
